Hi CW Gang:
Another item of my Moms, passed to me........
Here is a SET of silver colored earrings and a necklace. Now your wondering WHY 3 earrings. Because you had an extra --- plus this EXTRA was used to either hang on the chain, or not. They are marked * CELEBRITY JEWELRY * which I recall were done at Home parties back in the 1970's era. Kinda like the Tupperware parties, but Jewelry. Celebrity Jewelry was pratical jewelry were you could change out things to wear them several different way. Not sure IF this was a Canadian maker or not..as I do not find much info on this Brand name. Any other info welcomed!! These are STILL stunners !!!
These were kinda like Sara Coventry Home Parties -- but they were called CELEBRITY JEWELRY. Just another competition in the Home party era.....LOL. Can't find that much info on the Net about the makers of these home party marked items
Thanks for LOOKING // LOVING!!

"Celebrity: Celebrity made finer costume jewelry from the 1950s through the 1970s in New York City. Higher quality rhinestones were usually handset in frames of silver, gold, and rhodium plate metalwork. (Reference Source: Fabulous Fakes: A Passion for Vintage @ the Collectics Collector Bookstore)"

Bonnie you are the research Queen!
This is cool Rose. I can imagine some modern young thing wearing the three earrings up one ear, like a curtain lol!
These are cool and Karen might have a great idea!!
Sparkle-icious Rosie! I find it interesting that they included a "spare" earring. I've never heard of that, but I guess you learn something new every day :)
Thanks for the ~ LOVES ~
Rick55 --> LOL -- the Extra was to wear on the Chain if you wanted, as I recall the Home parties I went too. Some of their jewelry pieces were very verstile as you could get like 2, 3 or 4 looks with it. I think that is why my Mom ( and other ladies ) used to buy it and attracted to it. The thinking outside-the-box in being versatile......I think. I know there are MORE of this brand name jewelry here waiting for me to post it...

The double clasp on the necklace prob meant the necklace could be converted into a choker and bracelet as well. Yes, I remember that was one of the selling points with this line of home party jewelry. Avon had a number of pieces that were versatile in the same way, mainly earrings with different stones/settings, or could be worn with different lines.
Yes, so true KATHERINESCOLLECTIONS ~ Exactly ~ as there were many different ways and this attracted those * FARM WIVES * to this Jewelry back in the day. As you got so many more looks, for a Fair Price.
We loved Celebrity Jewelry......and I do have more....LOL
Just adding a Link to my page of all the CELEBRITY ( NY ) JEWELRY that I have posted here...and probably have more. So just a group sampling of my CELEBRITY (ny) Jewelry........to see and taste, if any get the mouth watering......LOL

My Grandmother and Mom were both party consultants for Celebrity NY. I went to a lot of shows helping with setup and so on. This set is made of Rhodium. There were two necklaces, one bracelet and a pair (or 3) earrings. This set's main selling point that I remember was that no matter how much it was wadded up, it would not get tangled.
