This Edwardian festoon costume necklace with czech crystal is another great find at a church fete for pocket change as it was missing its clasp.
It has filigree capped round light blue beads with round red beads and 3 kite shaped crystal beads.

      Festoon necklaces have swags.
      http://antiques.about.com/od/NecklaceStyles/fl/Festoon-Necklace-Example.htm

      "Updated April 25, 2015.
A festoon by definition is a garland of flowers, ribbons, or leaves hung in a curve as a decorative element or incorporated as an architectural feature. Thus, in order to qualify as a festoon necklace, a piece must have swags or drapes of chain, beads, or metal findings as part of the design. Other elements such as dangling drops may be a part of the piece, but without the swags a necklace does not qualify as festoon style. "

Thanks for that I should have mentioned that it is a deconstructed necklace and had chain swags:)

OK, I wondered if there might be something missing, as the main piece does look like it is part of a festoon piece.
