Another garage sale find. It's a set of rather delicate glass bowls, each made in a different shape, yet they all seem to be either a set or from the same line. A couple of remaining stickers on the back say "Made in Lithuania". The stickers look modern to me so i though it maybe some art glass studio?

I searched internet left and right and upside down for "teal art glass bowls Lithuania"- nothing.
Any idea on the maker or possible age is very much appreciated, as always!
    Happy Friday everyone!

I know Lithuania make good glass and some of it is made for homewares brands like Mikasa and Freedom. It's all well made production glass and I think this is similar.
      Great stuff.

I love the colour. You ask about the age - Lithuania gained independence in 1990, so your glass can't be older. Before 1990 it was a part of Soviet Union, and their export in the socialist times never was labelled Made in Lithuania but Made in USSR. There was another period when this small Baltic country was independent - between 1918 and 1940 - but I doubt the bowls are from the pre-war era.

Roy, Swfinluv- thank you for your kind comments and appreciation!

Efesgirl, thank you for the love and trying anyway, i appreciate your time and effort!

Karen, thank you for the love and the leads..would the glass they made for Mikasa, for example, still be labeled with the country of origin? I have some items by Mikasa, they all are stamped with their logo. I don't know about other brands. The labels on these bowls are strangely simplistic and character-less. Not sure why.

Martika, thank you for the love and comment! The color is one my favorites, too. Yes, you are correct about the history....i don't know why i didn't think of that lol this gives me a time frame of the last 20 years. So they are "turn of the century" items...21st century! =)

Mike, Vetra, aura- thank you for stopping by and your appreciation!

Wow, those are beautiful. You scored them at a garage sale?? OMG.
Lucky you.!! I hope someone can identify them. Have you thought about going back there and asking them? If you're a shy person, take someone with you who isn't. :) I'll have my fingers crossed here for you. Thanks for sharing them.

OneGoodFind, thank you so much for your nice comment and love! I'm surprised myself at this find, also because i live in a very rural area and i have no idea how this set ended up here. Actually, i've been thinking about going back to those people and asking...maybe one of these days. If i find out more, i'll post an update =)

Anna yes Mikasa usually have the country of origin on their tags or boxes but not necessarily on the piece. I didn't say it well but I didn't mean these would be Mikasa, just that Lithuania makes glass good enough for name brands to contract them for their glass. You may never find out who made these - I'm happy there was a country sticker on them!
Did I say I think they are gorgeous bowls? I do!!
