I thought I'd post these before they go to their new owner on Monday. I'm not really fond of them in fact I think they're kind of creepy. That's why I never posted them. That and the fact that they're almost impossible to photograph because of their size. At first I thought Greek theater masks but they are both identical. They actually look more like aliens to me, but I'll settle for calling them Voodoo masks. Each weighs 1.75 grams and has a tiny 0.08-0.10 carat diamond in a "V" shape in their forehead. The masks and fasteners are both marked .750 with an unknown makers mark. Talk about tiny. The jeweler used a 20x's loupe to even see it. So I think that's why they escaped the showcase pricing. I'm trading them for an 18K gold heart pendant and a bit of cash which I'd rather have. My friend at Salvation fell in love with these ugly little bugger's. She says they're interesting....lol . -Mike-
I think they're interesting! Got to follow your heart, though.
Thanks Bonnie...oh I get it... heart pendant ..follow my heart. It's probably more in her favor than mine trade wise but that's OK . :)
Weird but I like them! That may say a lot really.
When I bought these for a couple dollars Karen I wasn't sure what they were. I figured silver. I was floored when the jeweler told me they were white gold and diamonds. I'm sure they have some story behind the design. :)
Amazing. I wonder if they were bespoke or designer made?
I agree with kyratango, seems to be these are very design specific, may be custom made for some purpose or person. Odd little things! :)
My pagan side love them ;-)
They are quality!
Thanks Katherine and Kyra :)...The mark on them appears to be foreign. It's a diamond on it's side with design in the middle. Too small to discern unless you knew what you were looking at. My thought is India or Asian origin. :)
