A friend gave me this fishing reel for doing some work on her house. It is a Shakespheare Criterion Level-Winding No.1960. It came with the box and cool pouch. Also, it even had the hand written receipt from 1930. The receipt was written National Radio Co paper out of Chicago, IL. The reel cost $3.60. There were also some leaders on it, a pikie minnow (which I also have), a couple spooks, and a hickory pole. The total was a little over $10. That was probably some serious money back in the day. Any idea of what the reel's value is, with all the stuff it came with...
jrney:Sorry I have no idea on the value-check on eBay-pump in the info you have and see what come up.Your reel looks in good shape-if your plans are to sell it do not change the braided line that is on the reel.Have fun in your quest.
