This is similar to some post-war Borské Sklo work but I think that the stamp to base marks it as pre-war. It is a very fine cased glass cut back in a slightly naive way, but that belies the fact that cutting this incredibly thin glass was very skilled work. It was bought in France - hence the French for Czecoslovakia.
It is 13.5cm tall x 16.5cm wide.
I adore this piece. The geometric rose and stylised leaves seem very modern.
Thanks, Racer, there are certainly modern (1950s onwards) examples - Borské Sklo - but I think this is an earlier one.
