This bear belonged to my husband who was born in 1946, so I'm guessing it is from that era. I've never seen another one like it, and I am curious what kind of bear it is? Maybe a Winnie The Pooh Bear? Does anyone recognize it? It almost looks handmade, or maybe there are just a lot of hand sewn repairs. There are no labels or remnants of labels.

It has dark yarn for eyes and pink threads for the nose. He measures 14" tall and is about 11" wide.

Could it have belonged to my mother-in-law who was born in 1911?

    Thanks for any information.

Precious family heirloom . He looks homemade and they used a Chenille bedspread.Which I would date more in 1940's -50s when they were popular spreads . He is wonderful . Could have been made from a pattern .
