Can anyone help me with some information about my bracelet. I don't know anything about it apart from it belonged to my Grandma and it has a Tiffany stamp on it. It came to me around 1979 and I think she'd had it some time before that. Maybe 60's/70's? I absolutely love it's simplicity and minimal design. But I'd love to find out more about it, like its age? Or who designed it? I've been checking online and on eBay but never seen anything like it. Or found any information. I'd really appreciate any help.
(The clasp has recently been replaced as the original broke.)
It's beautiful! That particular lobster clasp is a style is fairly recent design, so the bracelet has no real age to it. I tried searching under Tiffany & Co tube link bracelet but didn't find anything.
The clasp was replaced a few years ago as the original broke. But I think the bracelet is possibly 60's or 70's. As it came to me in the late 70's and she'd had it a while at that point.
I see - do you know what the original clasp looked like?
I'm afraid I don't have it anymore but it was similar design as the replacement (sorry I don't know the correct terms for each clasp style). I was going to take it back to Tiffany to get it replaced but more to see if they could give me some info about it. But unfortunately I haven't got round to it. As I mentioned I've never seen anything like it on eBay or online.
To me, this looks "horsey". Might be a snaffle bit bracelet, however, I couldn't find a Tiffany example.
AmatoorPikr thanks for getting back to me. Appreciate it.
Would anyone know of an expert on Tiffany's jewellery, that I might be able to contact?
