In my previous post I shared with you an old album. In the back of that album I found two CDV cards, pictures I believe of Charles Sherwood Stratton otherwise known as General Tom Thumb and his wife, Lavinia Warren. They were like celebrities in the Victorian Era. He was a dwarf who became very famous as a performer.
CDV (carte de visite) cards were very popular in those times, they were traded among friends and visitors. The big popularity of these cards led to the publications of photos of prominent people.
Ive seen pictures like this at the "Giant Mckaskil" museum. He performed with Tom Thumb .
Tom Thumb and his wife were very popular subjects for photographs in both the US and abroad.
I often encounter their images in cdv albums of the 19th century.

Thank you Caperkid and Scott for your comments. First I thought this pair was a part of the Clark family or somehow related to them. Accidentally I found on net similar CDV cards with them and I learned who they were.
Thank you CW people for your luv xxx
