Not the famed Eng. commando knife. Picked this up O/L some yrs ago knowing it was a copy for cheap. I was pleasantly surprised to find that it is better quality than ever expected. Took some time to put a fine edge & still as sharp several yrs. later. The high quality of steel in the blade makes me lean toward India make. No marks at all. Brass grips. Hides well next to the instrument panel on my bike. Been stopped by the gendarmes & they never notice it.

Az, it's just a direct copy of the Fairbairn Sykes commando knife. For serious work, that !

Always liked the Fairbairn Sykes. If I ever get my Military Intelligence Rose & Dagger tattoo, I intend to replace the dagger part with an image of the Fairbairn Sykes

looks like a good copy of the British Commando dagger, especially since it has aging / weathering

Well Battle, it didn't look that way when I got it. After sharpening & taking the blade to bare metal, I cold blued it. Then to get rid of the obvious brass of the handle, I cleaned well, taped the blade & suspended it over commercial ammonia in a sealed container until it blackened. The sheath isn't real leather. Bloody good steel in the blade & that's what counts !

Good to see a healthy following of the Fairbairn Sykes & appreciate all those LUVS . Thanks.

Somebody posted a fairbairn-Sykes or look-alike a few days ago and it just prompted me to take a closer look at mine. I'm now seeing markings & doing a study to see if it is a real F-S. Found out that they were made in a number of countries & so have diff. markings. The quality is there to be a real one.
