    Hi Everyone,

I believe this is an oak mission style arm chair that I picked up for a few dollars at a yard sale. Can anyone please confirm or provide any other details. The legs are throwing me off..thanks

      Hello Stellathecat,
First let me say--YOU GOT A HUGE BARGIN!!! Yes this chair is of the Craftstman (very early) style. The French made their craftsman furniture with a "French Twist." That is to say, they used legs that were turn with a little fancier flair than American Craftsman style. I own two of these myself. My mom's family is from France, and know they are at least 100 yrs old. Another way you can tell is if the chair seems to be made for a shorter person than would an american sized chair. That has to do with with our being shorter and insist on sitting with feet flat on the floor.
It is a lovely chair, and worth your cherishing. There are very few of this style to be found in the US.
