Has anyone seen one of these before? I am trying to determine when they would have been sold or patented. It is a glass egg with wax inside that melts and becomes clear. Once clear you know your boiled egg is cooked. I have not been able to find any information about it anywhere. Although it says 'patented and trade mark' on it I have yet to find anything on either a patent or a trade mark. Please help, I am slowly going bald from tearing my hair out with frustration at the lack of information I am finding.

Sometimes you just have to use your guessamizer. It's from Japan which is usally 1950s post war Japan. The packaging looks a bit older and there was some trade between the US and Japan but not all that much. Most likely 1950s as that is when most of the trade with Japan was occurring. For items like this that is.
I have a lot of items that have no solid information and sometimes all you have is an educated guess.
