This small dark oak? rocking chair with rush seat and a heart motif inlay on the back caught my eye in a second hand shop a few years ago. We had just moved to a thatched cottage and thought it would look perfect on the landing where it stayed for the past few years. I never did get round to looking into having the underneath repaired where the rush seating is a bit worn , ????
Just wondered if anyone could possibly have any ideas as to how old it could be ?
It measures 90 cm at highest point on the back,
46 cm between front rockers narrowing to 30 cm at the back
The seat is 39 cm at the narrowest point at the rear to 50 cm at the widest point at the front .
Love to know if anyone has anything similar?
