Here's the camera I've been playing with lately. The Canon A1. With its debut in 1978, Mine has a date code of 1984. but even though more than thirty years have passed since mine was produced, the Canon A-1 camera still remains as the ultimate reference camera for many. Its unique styling, original concept, durability and reliability have been proven over these years and passed the enduring time test and emerged as a true classic. The rapid development, usage and the popularity of IC circuits for automations in camera design have very much to thank for with this electronic marvel from Canon Inc. Japan.
This particular year (1984) Canon was the Official Camera for the Olympic Games. I have the original bag and lenses covers for these. As I have pictured here, are a few of my lenses for this beast...left to right
35-105mm f 1:3.5-5.6
500mm mirror reflux f 1:8
on the camera 50mm f 1:1.8
28mm f 1:2.8
50mm SCC f 1:1.4
and
55mm f 2.8 macro
Thanks for looking and I will continue with my experimenting with film, Currently shooting ISO 200 film and slowly getting the hang of it.
Thank goodness for a Digital Camera.... these pics were shot with Canon 5D mark III
GREAT camera and lenses, Kerry. My Dad was a Canon man. Me ~ NIKON. But, like you say, "Thank goodness for Digital"!!!
Is it very heavy with the big lenses Kerry. There are no places around here that will even develope film. The only thing holding me back from buying a set like this. Always wanted a powerful lense, the Golden and Bald Eagles around here would be my prey. ( for the camera). Great score.
Good Morning All....Thank You

@Caperkid, not real heavy, compatible to newer Cameras, maybe a touch more, but not bad
Thanks Kerry .
