One pic with no description of details, such as markings, won't get it .
I can tell you without a doubt it is NOT 18th century.
As bb noted some additional details and photos would be helpful.

It is nice clock but ain't from 1800's. It has features from late 1800's but these are made long period of time, till near 1920's.
Old Junghans clocks have 5-pointed star with J logo inside.
Very nice clock anyway.

Hi gmb1891. Welcome to Collectors Weekly!
As Scott has already informed you, this clock can not be from the 18th century as the Junghan Family Clock Business was not in existence until the 19th century. A very nice and informative link which I have bookmarked Scott, thank you. If you can see and photograph any markings on the movement that *could* be very helpful in narrowing down the date of manufacture.
It's a nice clock in any case. The overall fit and finish indicate to me that it is a genuine antique Junghans. Perhaps from circa 1900 give or take 10 years but that's only a guess on my part.

The link that Scott provided tells us that the Junghans Logo stamped into your clock's plate first appeared in 1890, so that would be the earliest your clock could have been made. From what I can see, I think it was made sometime between 1890 and 1900. Yes, seems 19th Century - 1890-1900...
I put it on work from 3 hours.. believe me that i begun to love this "boy".. have only one hammer, beats once at half hour, and every hour beats exactly.. if it is 12, twelve times.. I love itttttt!!!

Congratulations on acquiring your antique clock. Hopefully it will stand witness to many joyful moments for you, your family and friends as it no doubt has during the lifetimes of previous owners. Keep in mind that it is a machine with many small parts and points of friction. It was obviously made to last. It should be kept lubricated (a very little clock oil goes a long way) and periodic maintenance will be necessary if you plan to run it 24/7. You probably knew all of that already.
