glassglobe…
(1 item)
This lamp was my nanas, I have been searching the web for weeks and can find no information on it. I know that it is a vintage glass globe swag lamp, it is leaded with designed on the glass. My guess is it is from the early 1900s-1940s. Any information on the supplier, make, model, worth etc would be helpful/appreciated!
Hi, I was so excited when I saw your lamp! i have one just like the green glass ball, the fixtures seem a little different. i have the same little ornament on the bottom as yours but I dont have the brass design under the ball it self. mine also has prisms that dangle from the top. other than that they are the same. I have also been looking for information on this beautiful lamp. I did find a small oval stamp on the top of the gilded brass(?) its oval shape and has a C in a circle with an F next to it. But I cant find any thing on this. I thought maybe its from the 40s -the 60s. hope we find answeres.
I want to add a correction, I think it is a P in a circle followed by an F
How strange we both have the same lamp and cannot find information on it! Thank you for the info on it, I will search that area of mine to see if there is a stamp on mine as well. Do you know where you got your lamp or when?
It belonged to my husbands Grandmother. I just received it a few weeks ago.
I've also been searching for some information and nothing comes up.
No one knows when or where it what bought. I just know that I fell in love with it the first time I saw it. I can't determine what it in the circle on the stamp . I took a picture and it maybe just a copy right ? Well let's keep in touch if we hear any more
Hmmm - well same to you if I find anything I will pass the information along!!
Ok my friend, my mother in law has been in and out of the hospital since I received my lamp. She sounded better and happier so I asked her if she knew when and where her mom got the lamp. She said Grandma bought the lamp in the late 30s or early 40s in Chicago at the Chicago Mart. She bought french provincial Chippendale living room set and also the lamp. I hope this helps you out with you lamp too. please let me know if you find out where yours came from and if you can find any more about it.
I would say this lamp is from the 1970's era roughly. Some were plain, and some more decorated. Here is lots of examples of them

Hi Antiquerose, I thought it was from 60s or 70s at first. I think the cordand chain is the dead give away for that time period. I had already looked on your recommended sit and many many more. My mother in law said she was with her mom when it was bought . However maybe they had bought one sorta like it and maybe they eventually replace the lamp and she may only have that shopping memory of being with her mom. Im about to give up! I know that I just love it and will cherish it forever.thank you for your input I do appriciate it !
It is a GREAT Swag lamp!! I love them too....and would cherish it forever. It is a priceless memory
I wish I still had my parents swag lamp!!
