Beautiful.....and not to mention it's "bullicante"...lol :)
Beautiful, but what is it used for??? [;>)
It does look quite a lot like that Whitefriars in Rose's link. Love that color and the bubbles, Karen, very pretty! :)

Oh shucks, now I got the hiccups!! :))
Thought I had found a match for your bowl here, Karen, but apart from the stretched bubbles, yours isn't notched, either.

I love the purity of line, both in the shape and in the bubbles!
Well spotted similarities everyone! I am almost totally sure this is Japanese (I would be 100% but I didn't collect it hot from the gaffer's hand).
Thanks for the links Rose. This bowl is close to the Murano and Whitefriars but the bullicante is quite different. I think the bubbles have been made on a very fine nail bed, so there is little trapped air. Similar shape and rim however, and it's likely the Japanese had a WF bowl as a sample.
Katherine; bless you!! Also, see above. Thanks for the effort!
Brilliant Buddy! (that's you Mike)
Very good question Blade and I have no real answer. Nuts? Lollies? Pocket knives?
Thanks Peggy. It is a great design but I think we need to thank Geoffrey Baxter for it.
The colour is a very Japanese glass colour!
Sorry I missed Tlynnie....many thanks!
NevadaBlades, it is a thing of beauty, meant to be admired, and that's enough. :)
Love the color and the bubbles are called controlled bubbles in this one.
katherinescollections >>> Totally agree! [;>)
