A generous neighbor gave this to me yesterday. He said his garage is too cluttered and he wants to get rid of things. I can't pass up a neat old thing even if it's not a "girly" item. I don't discriminate freebies, i love them all equally =)

He said it's an oil can, and he's never seen one like this. I can't find anything based on the remainders of the label. I see similar cans on the internet but they don't have labels or maker names in the descriptions, or have spouts with a screw on cap, etc.
Does anyone recognize this brand? How old does the can look to be? What is its primary purpose? Thank you for any leads.

    *Title Updated- Thanks, Bobby!

Thank you so much for the appreciation and solving it so quickly, Bobby!! Do you know how old it may be or how rare they are? Any idea why the spout doesn't have a closing cap of some sort, wouldn't gas evaporate or oil potentially spill?

Mike, officialfuel, vetra-thanks for stopping by and your appreciation.

Thank again, Bobby, that helps a lot! :)

The standard cap for such a can without a cap is a piece of potato. That has been used ever since we had gas and oil cans. TRUE !

Slackjack, thank you for this piece of potato information =)) This is genius! Any idea how old this can might be?
