I always buy signed glass pieces when I find them... provided I like them of course. This piece has an interesting sculpture/vase form. It's basically a somewhat opaque peachy pink colored 6"dia. bubble that's been poked and prodded. A bump on one side a flat spot on the other along with some bubbles in the glass itself. The top is cut at an angle with streaks of white and azure blue flowing down the rim. The bottom is ground but not really enough to make it very stable. There were little rubber feet on the bottom but I removed them because they were blocking the signature. It appears to be signed S. Corrigan '85. Nothing online about the artist at all. So I figure it's just a piece of studio glass designed by one of many independent glass works -Mike-

Oh gosh, that is a fabulous piece of glass, Mike!

I found a Susan Corrigan, don't know if this is your gal:

Apologies I am having trouble with my mouse ever since I "upgraded" to Windows 10, here is the correct link:

      Neato!
The 80s and 90s were a golden era for studio glass. I know of a number of Australian glass artists that produced then but don't now because there is not sufficient market . If it's the same over there you are possibly correct thinking you may not find them.
Katherine has made a good start though!

Thanks Katherine and Sean :)....@ Katherine...I upgraded to Windows 10 as well. Guess I was lucky. No problems. I rebuilt and old salvaged computer I found at Salvation Army so everything inside was basically new . The drivers for a lot of the older accessories gave people a few problems from what I've read. Thanks for the link :)

Thanks Karen it is a odd looking thing...lol...I have a few pieces where a signature isn't of any more help than an unsigned piece as far as locating and artist goes. They eventually turn up though. All it takes is one good lead to track them down. :)

Mike, apparently the mouse problem isn't just me, as I found out too late. After I finally gave in to the nagging reminder that kept bugging me to upgrade to Windows 10, I did, and now everything the mouse does is insane -- double clicks, random jumps, clicks on things I didn't want, erases stuff I wrote, copy and paste whatever it wants to copy and paste, you have no idea how unproductive my days have become since I have to repeat even the most common actions over and over and over and over and over and over again. The problem is on all the tech forums but Microsoft is denying there's a problem. There's no fix for it, either. I don't know what to do, but the way it's going I'm being driven mad.

That's got to be a pain Katherine...how about a new mouse maybe a wireless one if you don't already have one ?? Sounds like the mouse's software is incompatible with Windows 10. a new up to date one should fix that problem. I kept Windows 7 on my laptop because it's older and there wasn't any compatible Windows 10 software for it's blu-ray player. All computers need software to run anything that's connected to them. Windows 10 doesn't play nice with a lot of the older devices.

This is cute! I also have Windows 10, but don't have any problems with it. Lucky for me I have a son whose job is in IT. :-)))

Mike, according to the forums I read, the problem is even worse with wireless mice. One woman specifically said she had the problem both at work and at home after the upgrade. She tried changing out her mouse, worked for a while then the bug came back. Honestly, had I known, I would not have updated. It is about to drive me out of my tree.

Thanks Bonnie.... Technology is great until it doesn't work. I laugh at the commercial where the grandparents are standing on the porch when their grand kids show up with all there gadgets in hand. "Here this stuff isn't working... fix it ...lol. Always great to have a "techie" in the family.

I know it's frustrating Katherine. It's so hard to figure things out sometimes without actually looking at the computer in person. I usually find people in forums are not all that helpful and over the phone help is just plain irritating. Technically you should be able to restore the old operating system you had before the 10 upgrade. You could try a system restore to the last date the everything was working properly. Sorry I can't be of more help.

Mike, thank you, I am resigned to my fate.

katherinescollection >>> My wife also made the mistake of upgrading to 10, and now, like you, she's gone bonkers! I keep getting popups on my computer telling me to upgrade ~ I pay them no mind and x them out as soon as they pop up! [;>)))
