I wrap this around me and its so soft.
It's 54 yrs old.
It has been in a plastic linen bag in a dark cool dry place and has never been washed.
A late relative went to South Africa/America? in the 60's and found it in a market place, she bought a couple of blankets.
It has a single hand sewn twine/thread running along each panel/strip. I don't think its hemp it's soo soft, cotton? It may have been white at one time, but its beige and indigo.
I wish to know if I should dare wash it and use it or have it sealed in cedar? I take it out once a year just to remind me of how fantastic it is. But whats the point, it's too nice to pack away another day.
Thank you in advance.
