This large blanket is rough, itchy & slightly stiff.
It has a right side and a wrong side.
It's 54 yrs old.
It has been in a plastic linen bag in a dark cool dry place and has never been washed. I wouldn't even attempt it.
A late relative went to South Africa/America in the 60's and found it in a market place, she bought a couple of blankets.
It has a single thread running along each panel/strip. I think its hemp/wool?
It has great colors, black, orange, tan, gray and tassels!
I wish to know if its a blanket for a bed or a wall hanging?
Should I have it sealed in cedar? I never thought it would survive moths.
I take it out once a year to give it a shake and appreciation and just to remind me of how fantastic it is.
