This will be my last Fenton post today. I am still learning, but I'm told this is "burmese", gonna have to go look this up. I think the sticker on this one shows purchased 1992 (another family piece). Researching now, so if anyone knows and can save me some time, feel free to chime in. Thanks for looking!
very pretty!!
Thanks Sean! And for the loves also, to Amatoor Pikr, Anna, Aura and Mike! Always appreciated, MFT
Very lovely, the colors are so delicate! Fenton never fails to surprise me. :)
TallCakes may add his thoughts to this thread if he sees it. :)
Katherine, this one puzzles me; most of these burmese-looking things were of satin finish and hand-painted with flowers and such; whereas, this little gem is of shiny/glossy finish with no hand-painting at all. So was it special, or was it a mistake LOL?
Beautiful little pitcher.
Martika, thank you very much!
Gorgeous...so delicate.
Efesgirl, thanks for the love and great comment; always appreciated, MFT
I'm in agreement with Katherine. This doesn't look like Fenton to me at first. I googled some uranium marbles the other day and many other makers came up. Now, I'm confused all over again. :0). I looked a bit but as pretty as things look with nice camera pics, it's really hard for my old arse to really get a good look.
You can post all you have with no limits (for me anyway) it's all about learning and finding great things. I think it's very nice whatever it is. If you have more please share it. :)
it's definitely a Fenton form and they did make satin finish melon pitchers like this for QVC c1990 (#C6977). I found other Fenton items in this Glossy Burmese finish but didn't spot this pitcher; tho' it may be in one of their catalogs.
Alrighty then, it's a Fenton. :)
I have looked high and low -- have found several of the hand-painted satin/matte finished melon pitchers; but none that were shiny/glossy with no hand-painting. I don't know what to make of this one - if TallCakes can't find it, it won't be found LOL. Thanks to all for the help, TallCakes (as usual) thank you so very much; OGF, thanks to you as well.
And for the loves, thanks to Jenny, vetraio, OGF, Caperkid, Nevada, and Sklo42! always appreciated, MFT
