I had a great rummage day today! The woman who works at the shop knows me, and she brought out 4 more boxes full of jewelry that were in the back - she had nowhere to display any of it. We looked through some of it together and had a ball. A mix of sterling silver, crystals and perhaps ivory.
The huge necklace in the second photo is what I call "1970s Brutalist". It's very heavy. One of those "hangs to your navel" necklaces. I cleaned it up with metal polish and it looks so much better. The only mark on it is a number stamped into the metal on the backside: 3659
That big bracelet on the left is called a "Zeeuwse Knopje" which means "Zeeland Buttons". Zeeland is a town north of me. There are 4 marks on the bracelet:
925
A stamp that looks like an old fashioned keyhole with the number "6" in it.
A mark for Sterling: ZI
That funny mark with a P and an elephant. I guess it's an elephant....
Haven't found that on the web yet.
I gave 20 bucks for everything. Still have a 1900s brooch not pictured here that has to be tested to see if it is gold or something else.
Thanks for looking/loving!
