This my 1931 Rocher tire inflator/ primer spark plug made in the USA patented in 1929. the plug does not have to be removed to inflate the tire , you just turn the key to the inflate position . the spark plug side of the plug will keep firing so no misses in the engine operation ... most other types of inflators require the plug to be removed , not so with the Rocher plug..
Welcome to CW.
That is too cool!
Thanks AzTom there is some cool weird and wonderful stuff on this site
So basically it inflates the tire with hot exhaust gasses? Très étrange!
No Uncle Ron it draws clean air from outside of the plug I will see if I can put up the instructions that i got with the plug...
fantastic, never saw one before. Thanks for sharing
Very pleased to find this one I only know of another one which is in the Netherlands . No one in the SPCOA has come forward to say they have one so in the mean time I will say it is rare , and the moment we say that some one will find a shed full of them like they did with the Rentz Lighthouse plug..
