Or google images for "vintage silver fox whole fur stole/wrap" and do your homework ;-)
Reminds me of the story Miss Brill, which we had to read in class.
Mrs. Brill was an older British woman in a resort town in France around the turn of the century. She had no real friends-- she just taught a class and read a newspaper to a crippled man-- so her fox-fur became her companion. She caressed it and talked to it.
But then she gets hurt by some insulting words of younger people making her feel old and like the other older people she thought she wasn't, so she leaves the Public Gardens where the band was playing, and she puts her fur away in a box and thinks she hears it cry before she never opens it again and likely dies quite alone in her cubby-hole of an apartment.
