I purchased this vintage brooch about a year ago. It was sold as silver which I believe it to be. It is approximately 7.5 cams in length and has a good solid feel about it. Set with sparkling rhinestones/ and green stones/ glass. Has a simple c clasp on the back and there are some markings present, but as they are pretty worn and dark I am unable to see them clearly. I would really appreciate any feedback regarding the age and markings on this brooch, many thanks
Hi, welcome to CW!
Wonderful example of high quality paste (crystal) jewellery!
The mark KP is for Knoll & Pregizer, see there for the whole story of the maker:

The other mark may be 925 for the silver content.
Oh thank you very much for your response. I shall have a look at the link you sent. You have been most helpful !
You're very welcome! I'm impatient to see your other pieces :-D
kyra to the rescue - :-))))
It is a beauty! I also would like to see your other pieces of jewelry.
I shall pop a few more pics up this afternoon. Although I collect vintage brooches, I am by no means an expert, but rather more of a novice and a magpie, so I tend to go for the sparkly ones, ????
Good close up, to clean the marks, use the broken end of a wood tooth pick or match as a brush to remove dirt from the pinches ;-)
This won't hurt the silver!
Thanks for the advice kyratango, will give a go :-)
Nice to look at again!!!
