All three share two design features - six feet forming ribs up the vases, and six "buttresses" or fins from the top to halfway down.
I would be interested to know if anyone else has come across these. I am thinking Al's inkwell work but interested to hear from everyone. I wouldn't go as far as to put them under the same maker umbrella even tentatively yet. But, they sit well together.
I put them ca. 1905-1920
They are 30.5, 26 and 21.5cm.
I think it is very likely that these three vases share a common maker. As far as who that is.... don't really have any idea.
Great examples though.... I really like the yellow one. I am curious if any of them fluoresce under UV light at all?
Nice examples Ian. The first and last ones look familiar to me. I'm curious if any fluoresce under UV too :)
IanBrighton! Hi, I am new here and 8 years late on this post...
I love these! The yellow one... I recognize the shape, I am thinking of a vase by Beyermann&Company that looks similar... But that one looks taller. (?) How large is yours? And have you found out the maker? Thanks, Marie
Aha, now I saw the heights! Sorry. It´s 26 cm. That´s very large, looks smaller on the photo.
