I am not sure but think this vase is from around the 1950s, so is relatively early in terms of Hoya's art glass production.
Made to a geometric stadium shape it has been hand cut on the front and back faces in a quite random way.
Interestingly the cutting front and back are slightly different.
The remainder of the vase has been sand blasted so the cut areas shine and stand out from the matte ground.
Pretty cool really.
Height 20cm (8 in)
I reserve this word for just a very few women, but........STUNNING! :p [;>)
Glad it appeals Blade!
Crystal snow flake!!

Great photo caper
Love this design
Thanks Rose.
Same camera, just got my act together. I used to reduce the photo size before uploading but don't now as CW seem to handle big files better and that helps with clarity. I'm also getting a bit better at lighting and, gasp!, editing!
Thanks Peggy and Gruff.
Glad you get it!
Huh. It's interesting. Only I keep wanting to straighten out the pattern in the snowflake! :))
LOL!
OCD coming out there or just an annoyance?
LOL, I was gonna write the OCD in me, but don't mean to offend my friends who actually suffer from that condition, but yes, certain things drive me nuts, LOL! :))
