Sherman Pearl And Clear Rhinestone Necklace, Extremely Rare

Right after Christmas I was getting very disappointed about where the Sherman Collection was going. I was still getting good pieces but where oh where were the really fine sets ? I saw a nice set that I missed in November had been what I kind of wanted, but I was too busy before Christmas to look.

I thought I would go through the Sherman Jewellery book and see something extraordinary and came across page 38 and page 39 and could not get that out of my head during January. It came to a boiling point as I thought I would never get anything like it for my sister. So I wrote Sandra Caldwell a note on an email asking what my chances for getting something like on page 38,39,40,41 and 43 were. She said "I guess I can let go of my page 38 necklace and the one on page 39."

Of course I was elated. They were magnificent, very finely set and I was still over the moon. When I got it I was so happy. My collection was excellent but this just put it to the category of one of the best I thought. One of my objectives of collecting Sherman for my sister was to form a fine collection and prove that I could collect even jewellery and make a personal mark on a specific maker. So Sherman was decided on, as I had wanted to get into it 20 years ago, but never did.

Sandra also signed an affidavit or note that she sold the exact same necklace shown & photographed on page 38 of her book to Phil Morris. The note also says it is the exact same piece photographed for the book, so this is really what you can justify as a "Book Piece."
Sandra Caldwell and Evelyn Yallen wrote THE book on Sherman Jewellery, it is called, " Sherman Jewellery: The Masterpiece Collection.
