The new Jaguar XK 150 convertible and XK 150 Hardtop Coupe
Dealership literature. I bought these two professionally framed pieces from a customer of mine. Beautiful cars.
The 1960 Jaguar XK 150 convertible ad Hardtop Coupe has a 3.8 Litre twin overhead camshaft, six cylinder XK engine. While retaining much of the familiar Jaguar styling, which was awarded the American artist medal of honor for excellence in design, the new Jaguar features 4 inches additional front seat space, wider radiator grille, New streamlining to conform with recent aerodynamic advances and one piece windshield faired into the body. Interior restyling includes wider use of soft-tanned glove leather, in addition to that used in upholstery. Transmissions are Borg-Warners automatic, manual four speed and reverse, or manual with overdrive.
The car has twin SU carburetors and twin exhaust systems. The new car features race track engineered rack and Pinion steering and four wheel disc brakes, with quick change pads. Suspension is by torsion bar. This car is also available with "S"type specifications, producing 265 BHP.

A friend of mine picked up a jaguar back in those early wild days of mine(Pre-present wild days) with the 12 cyl. eng.. That eng. ran so smoothly ! When he soon did a valve job, it was found that one piston & rod were missing & a block of wood wedged in the cyl. . The crank throw was too scored to use so he left it that way & finished the valve job (sans 1 cyl.) . Still ran smoothly after ! Never understood why the wood block was in the cyl. though. LOL !
