Hello! I bought this small painting recently signed P Ingelrans and was able to match signature with another painting sold at auction identifying artist as Paul Leon Henri Ingelrans but information is scant. Anybody know more (or you can read French - most search results are in French!)??? I did find an illustration he did of a nude woman; also a publication showing that he was curator of Musee Rochefort. Please comment on the painting (do you think it's high quality & good merit?) ... also any enlightening bio or history you have would be interesting & appreciated. Thanks!
Born c. 1870, in Bully-les-Mines (Pas-de-Calais).
Painter. Genre scenes.
Paul Léon Henri Ingelrans studied with Cabanel, Delaunay and Gustave Moreau. He was curator of the Musée de Rochefort. He exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Français in Paris, of which he became a member in 1909
I'd seen that paragraph online but thanks very much all the same! Looking for further information out of France or translated from French sources. Probably the only way to find more detail or lesser known bio.
