Have no idea as to the origin of this miniature, hollow rolling pin. It'a 8" long from tip to tip. The homebody is 5 inches, including the "top" The removable top is 1" long without the handle. The inside diameter is about 1 1/4". The outside, about 1 1/2 inch.

It's a hardwood, from the finish we guess oak, but it could be any light "yellow" wood

hi, a few weeks ago i was given the exact same rolling pin, i was told it came from my great aunts home, would love to know the history of it if anyone knows anything. it does not seem to have been used to store anything and has no markings. thanks

I have one like this. Mine is red with natural handles. A small piece of string is tied to one handle. There are 2 tack/screw marks on the barrell. My thought was it may have been some a scroll of note paper? Mine came from my mother's estate in Maine. She was born in the early 20's and lived in the same home from 1942-2009. I have one of these as well. I just inherited from my grandmother who is also from Maine. She was born in the early ‘30s and was an antiques dealer for many years. Mine also does not appear to have had anything in it, but does seem like a good place for a rolled up paper. Would love to know more!!
