I purchased these two bottles at a local second hand shop because of the beautiful color and the flower forms . They are both identical with the size and decoration but only one has the pressed Cattle head on the bottom and the openings are different. I have researched for maker and come up blank , found similar online but they had no maker information as well.
Bottles stand about 4 inch tall and 2 inch in width at widest part of body . They are a pale iridescent pink color with embossed stemmed flowers all around and have two pressing seams . Has anyone come across these or have any information to lead me in the right direction ?
Thanks for looking !
Surprisingly these beautiful bottles were made in Taiwan.
They would date to the 1960s when Taiwan was really getting into glass making and the company that made these had a range of these very art deco looking vessels. Some were etched so that the ground was matte and the flowers remained gloss.
They are good quality and beautiful glass. I'll have to dig through a lot of stuff to see if I can find my notes on maker, but please don't hold your breath!
Racer4four Thank you for the information . I am surprised by the Country of origin , if it had been china, pottery or metal I would not be , but for the beautiful glass being produced there does surprise me ! Would never have guessed or thought that ; but the glass is very nice ! thanks again
This is a carnival glass.. these would sit on a vanity one would have a spritzer to spray your favorite smell. . And the other would have a glass cork or something like that. I have some similar but short and fat. The bull stamp means Taiwan! And the company made bath items.and were in business threw 1950 to 1960! These are just beautiful!
Thank You Lamplover78 , I've been keeping my eyes open for stoppers or spritzers for them ; would you know the company that produced them ?
No I'm sorry i do not. . I really don't know much about them other than they are for a vanity. And they are definitely beautiful! I seen one on Ebay with the cork for 40 some dollars. Plus shipping of course. .
