Manikin
(62 items)
1940's Miniature Sewing Mannequin in original box made by Latexture Products NYC . She is in wonderful condition for her age with no crazing or paint lifting . Her face is very 1940's . I have many patterns for her but do not sew anymore so she stays in her box . She is 15 " tall with removable arms to dress her . I have had several like her but none with such beautiful coloring and a very matte finish . Her name is Suzanne as shown on her original box
These were sold to teach young girls and women to sew during WWII
She is not a doll so no real category to put her in .
Thank you kindly Nevada :-) much appreciated
I've never seen one of these - what a treat! :-)))
Awesome lady! Very interesting post Manikin :-)
She is just GORGEOUS !!!!
Mini Mani! Love it.
A treasure Mani!
Thank you Efesgirl :-) I guess you could say she predates Barbies that you love :-)
Many Thanks kyratango, I bet she needs some beautiful jewelry to wear on her dress I don't have on her :-)
vetraio50 I always appreciate the support you give us all on CW for what we collect and enjoy all your posts
This gal even predates Bild Lilli. :-) I'm still looking for one of those....
I would love a Bild Lilli too a original not a clone Esfsgirl but hard to come by and expensive ,
I never know what might be found in a box of junk at the flea market...
The box is simple but contains a diamond in there. She is a beaute and the colouring is wonderful. I remember studying items like this when I was studying colouring.
Thank you Phil for all your support through the years ! xo
