I have no information about this one...completely stumped! This little tea and snack(?) set has no identifiable makers mark, but both the saucer and cup are signed in gold with "Bauer"...any ideas?

I would call this a tennis set (very English you know; tea and dainty sandwiches lol) and I am wondering if the flowers look handpainted to you or transfer printed.
I'm thinking that this may have been a blank that Bauer (a talented person) painted and signed. The gold and signature certainly look hand done.
Thank you so much! It definitely looks hand-painted...my photography skills have a lot of room for improvement, but in person the brush strokes are very visible. Do you know what country it may have originated from?
It may be difficult to find out who made the actual blanks without seeing the same shape elsewhere.
A talented painter like this would have used good quality bone china, so they are probably from England or Germany, possibly Japan.
