I collect old License Plate toppers and just got this original 1940-1950 Tydol Oil Man Plate Topper, I've been looking for one of these and got this one at a good price. They do make reproductions of these so beware.

Hi vreugdenhil most of the repros I've seen are yellow instead of white and don't have as good detail as original such as the embossed detail, hope this helps.

One way to tell a reproduction is they don't make the mounting holes oval.Unless some unscrupulous person modifies it!Real old ones have oval holes!
