Large Pitcher with abstract designs, color, and hummingbirds

Here's another really interesting piece of Mexican pottery. the handle has broken off and it looks like someone made a hole in the bottom to grow a plant in it, but i still LOVE it! the way the green color is splattered on and the interesting round sun or flower symbol and the mixture of ancient designs and very abstract thought behind the symbols... i would LOVE to learn more about when and where this was made and by whom, but it's not so easy to uncover this info - i am discovering! i think Mexican pottery has been so under appreciated and valued throughout modern history.
