    Does anyone know what make this bear could be, my mother passed it down to us and she thinks it about 200 years old.

      It has been well loved :-) Mohair bear but body suggests 1930's appx . With eyes missing and nose and mouth not real clear hard to give exact date but body construction does not place it as old as you think . They were not even making teddy bears 200 yrs ago . The first being around 1902 but these early bears looked much different than yours .

      Thanks for the information and I now think that this was probably my father’s teddy bear since he was born in 1929. I plan on keeping it in the family for at least a few more generations.
