I believe them to both be early 1940s.

The Santa Fe, if I recall, is the product of several images put together and messed with by the Curt Teich Company. This is a well-known image done by them.

The yellow Streamliner is a year or two later and is a nearly identical scene done by the Longshaw Card Company of Los Angeles.

A train at left. Two tracks. Orange groves on either side. Mountain in the background. Yellow ground. Linen-type postcard.
    That sums up both postcards.

I made a friend who likes trains. He's in Texas and liked this postcard. Guess where it's likely to go. LOL.

I've got a pretty good idea of wear that is supposed to be, the Kite Shaped Track that went to Redlands. The Super Chief is an F unit probably and F3A. Got feeling the streamliner is a fantasy piece.
I live in the mountain range in the background.

None of the images were from the same place. The Curt Teich people put together the Santa Fe piece as a collage, blended it, touched it up, and came up with this.
