Joseph Hospodka created a suite of designs for Chribska in the late 50's/early 60's. Those designs are typified by thick clear casing and a multi-lobed foot. There is always a relationship between the number of lobes in the foot and the number of sides/petals which form the rim. This is believed to be a Hospodka design though an even number of lobes was less common.
These designs were hot worked at the furnace and though nominally the same design each one would differ somewhat.
Love Chribska and these are beautiful, Peggy! I never knew there was a relationship between the number of petals and the number of lobes in the base. Thanks for the heads-up!

Hi swfinluv1 the link above takes you to a Chribska vase with three lobes. The top of the vase seems to have six points. On closer inspection there are three sections in line with the lobes of the foot but each section of the rim has been divided into two.

Now this one has four lobes but only two sides.....
Thanks for the loves, Efesgirl, Vintagefran, Caperkid, Manikin, mikelv, swfinluv, IanBrighton, MeliG and antiquerose.
The lobes/petals still have a mathematical relationship - I don't think I have ever seen one with 3 lobes, 4 petals.
It's lovely to see these beautiful pieces Peggy - this was your earlier Czech glass focus I know and they are so different to your collecting now - all wonderful and a country time line of glass making.
You know when I get home I'm going to pull out my Chribska glass (plus the pieces I suspect but haven't identified) and giggle over this 'discovery'. Who knew? Everyone but this girl, I'm thinking. : )
Lovely glass, sklo42, thanks for sharing. :)

Mostly he worked with three and five lobed feet but for me the designs on four lobes are the more interesting. Yes, I started with the pressed glass of Jurnikl., Matura, Panek etc. then gradually went back in time.

You know a lot of us have moments like that :) And now I know that you're a girl.....

I too think it's lovely glass, but not well regarded hereabouts!
I guess I figured the 'f' in 'swf' had given away that 'girl' thing a long time ago. Well, that and the eye makeup in my (very small) picture. : )
To all the kind folk who troubled to 'love' these bowls, THANK YOU!
Really nice, great color.
Thank you Deano, your comment is very welcome as not everyone likes these designs.
Thank you Nicefice, many people shared your view as these particular colour combinations were great sellers.
