Paste black and clear stones with a shiny black center "stone". Two and a quarter inches by three quarters of an inch. No missing stones or any other damage. Round hinge, a standard design by 1930, and a C clasp. This brooch is probably 1950s in date. Rollover safety clasps became standard in the 1960s.
Not sure of the material of the center stone. The flea market worker found a plastic bag full of costume jewelry inside of a laundry basket and this was the nicest item there. All items were donated by people living in the town, and the market run by volunteers. This was the same market where I purchased that crazy bone necklace and the sterling coil ring for 20 cents. :-)))
Thanks for looking/loving, CW friends!
