Normally I do not buy depression era glass but when I saw this beautiful piece, I had to bring it home. The gold trim is in perfect condition as is the glass. So far, I have not been able to find out the maker of this piece, so if anyone can help, it would be appreciated. Value?

Your tidbit is gorgeous. I just came into possession of the identical tidbit, but it's oval. Is yours oval or round? Difficult to tell from the photos. I've also been attempting to find out who made the item.

Hello sjell.............My tray is round and here is what I found out via a member of the Cambridge Glass Club: so if your etching is the same, you have Cambridge from the late 1920's. Has to be the exact pattern. Take care Mark

      Message from Cambridge Glass member:
Thank you for the kind words about our website and another thank you for the excellent picture attached to your inquiry. Such pictures "makes life so much easier."

The etching on your piece is a Cambridge etching, No. 719. It dates to the second half of the 1920s and was probably a short lived etching, that is probably produced and sold only for a short period of time.

Very few pieces have been seen. I have a bread and butter plate in my collection. Your piece is, of course, a center handled server and the color appears to be Peach-blo.

There is some indication that the etching was produced for a second party and perhaps not sold under the Cambridge label. However, records fromt his time period are virtually non-existent and it is possible the etching was sold by both Cambridge and a company by the name of Northwood & Hauptman, of which, at this time, nothing is known.
