Here is an antique original drawing of "the Pharao's Horses" framed in an antique ornate looks to be true Victorian frame. It is an original drawing with initials on the front and a signiature on the back which I can not make out except for a date that appears to say "1801". The red around the drawing is some sort of paint and it appears to be painted and drawn on some sort of board with some sort of fabric backing. I can not find out any more information on this piece if anyone could help.
ORIGINAL WAS DONE BY Pharaoh's Horses" by J.F. Herring he painted it in 1848. Common for people to copy them back in Victorian era.
I read somewhere online there is another supposed original that was forensically tested and they believe it to be from the 1740s. It is unsigned. I'm curious if anyone can identify the signature of this one so I can get an idea of its age and who created it. I know it is not the original but it is not a print.
