We found this Silver buckle in the bottom of a box along with other buckles that were on heavily decorated belts. It was extremely dirty so we cleaned it lightly without removing the silver patination that now looks golden. The artwork is breathtaking and we'd love to know who could have made. We suspect that it's Navajo and we checked some sites to see if we could decipher the CA letters in the back. The garage sale seller said that her mother collected belts and buckles all her life. She had thrown them all in a box and the fellow before us probably got the best ones because he had an arm full. Any help on maker would be appreciated. BOB
