Hi CW Gang:
Just a Single earring I found here....No pair. Looks to be silver and there is some kind of mark on it but can not read it. Is it jet Black? Also it is a twist on type of earring as for dating purposes. Have any other info or idea on this?
Thanks for LOOKING // LOVING!!

Hi Rose!
Ooh only one... Sad... But, better one than none :-D
The name for system is screw-back non pierced , it became in use when ladies didn't want anymore to get their ear pierced, from 1910.
It looks Mexican to me.
I feel your pain. I have a whole bunch of "divorced" earrings. I used to turn them into charms and necklaces when my girls were little - but I gave up:(
Yes, it looks very much like my bracelet! I always thought it looked Mexican, too. Thanks for commenting. Guess we both have mysteries to be solved!
Thanks Cassandra, and I want to add your link in here too just so info on the two stay together for other who may reference this site....and I will mark mine solved too.

Love you piece !!
I have this bracelet, like cassandra’s , only black and silver. Bakelite, pretty sure. It’s so pretty when polished! My sister found it at an antique show, I hounded her until she gave it to me. The only bad thing is the little pins that hold the sections together catch in clothing. I think that’s why she finally gave in. Love it.
