My 92 year old mother passed away recently and I found this blue Fenton Carnival Ware bowl in the bottom of her cedar trunk, that I don't know anything about. I researched it online, and found it is the "Peacocks on the Fence" pattern. The unusual thing about it is that it is signed by Jim Windley and dated 1916. The signature and date are etched into the glass and does not wash off. I couldn't find out any information on why the bowl would be signed and was wondering if any of the readers could give any information on it. Also, does anyone know what would be an approximate value of such a bowl?
    Thank you:
    Pat Robinson

I don't know about the signature, but the patterns is Northwood's 'Peacock On Fence' c1912. DDOTY has a value tracking from eBay auctions (I think) where you might estimate online auction value:

Thanks for the feedback TallCakes. The signature has me stumped. I wasn't able to locate another piece on line that had been signed and dated as this one was. I was thinking that it might have been done by the factory worker that made it. Anyway it is a pretty cool feeling holding a 100 year old bowl and wondering about the person who made it so long ago.
