More of my Loetz "Orpheus" collection. These are examples of the Threaded decor. They have Olympia ground with light blue nippled prunts and threaded glass around the vases. All glow under UV light. Circa 1904. All in excellent condition.
1) 11.75" Tall. Light blue threaded glass below rim and 4 nippled prunts above base. Fire polished rim with ground and polished pontil. PN Unknown.
2) 8.75" tall. PN-II 921. 4 light blue nippled prunts around top and threaded glass above the base. Fire polished rim with ground and polished pontil.
3) Side by side comparison of the two threaded vases.
4) The 6 Orpheus pieces in my collection. All have identified PNs except the tallest threaded vase.
truly a very very amazing collection!!
IMHO an under appreciated decor. Great collection of various sizes and forms.
That is QUITE A COLLECTION, MG !!!!!
just the fact you combine all those vase with same decor is quite a feat.
Congratulations on this collection.
