I am not really sure why I bought this bracelet. It seems to me to be rather new, although it has some tiny signs of wear on the metal.
The metal part is beautifully stamped. The glass/crystal rhinestones are in perfect condition, without chips or scratches.
The design, without the turquoise stones, is reminiscent of Juliana pieces but the quality is not the same. Even though the bracelet feels rather heavy and solid, the finishing of the metal clamper mechanism could be better, as you can see in the pictures.
There are no marks on the bracelet. I have a feeling that it could be a recent import.
Anny ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks for looking:)
Gee, that certainly is a chunk! I have not seen a design like this one, but would agree that it is a recent import.
Thanks, Efesgirl. Don't you think that it is way too busy? What I mean is that the designer wanted to do everything in one piece. I think I will give this one to one of my daughters. They might like to wear it for a summer garden party!?
Thanks a lot, glassiegirl:)
Very pretty -- I am thinking maybe 1970's 1980;s or so on this....See if I can find anything.
The reason why I say that is because of the underneath structure of the Bracelet, as I had something plain just like that in the 1980....or late 1970's
..something like this I had but single piece, like the underneath of yours.....will see if I can find something else...
I greatly appreciate your help, antiquerose:)
Antiquerose, I found this bracelet and all thought the outside does not look at all like mine, I can see some similarities in the "inside" construction. There seems to be some stamped metal under all of the stones:)
Of course I should post the link. How else could you know what I mean:

OK, Mary, when I am in your area, I will drop it off so you can wear it for a while. I am sure I can find something in your collection I can borrow but I just don't know what to ask for first because there is so much I like - LOL
Thanks for your nice comment,
Gudrun

This is definitely a "busy" bracelet which would look great worn by itself against simply designed clothing.
Mary, sorry for answering so late. I have been busy at work and at home and only stopped by CW for a quick look now and then. I am sorry to hear about your bird. I have a little dog, well, actually the dog was supposed to be for my girls but guess who ended up taking care of it? He is going to be 10 soon and had some health problems last year. I cannot imagine if/when he passes on. I am not sure if I could get another pet after that. I am too emotionally attached to this little creature.
I like the story about you and your sisters. I don't have any sibling and missed out on all of this kind of fun and support. You are lucky. Enjoy it!
I used to attend a lot of galas here where I live because of professional reasons and also because I volunteered for our arts council. I miss dressing up for these galas:)
And yes, I was very close! Our rental car had a California plate! I looked it up on the map and was surprised how close we were to the state line. Oh well, next time:)
