    katherines…
    (247 items)

So I have this private little group on Facebook, and somehow it has filled up with wonderful writers, over a hundred at this point. And some of them have very kindly sent me signed copies of their books, here are four examples. The newest one, dear Petrov, was written by Susan Tepper and just released last month; she sent it to me wrapped in tissue paper covered with sweet little duckies! The second book, The Pat Boone Fan Club, is written by Sue William Silverman, her first book was adapted for a movie on a cable channel. The third book, Rattle of Want, is a collection of short stories written by Gay Degani, an award winning short fiction writer who is now transitioning into novels. The fourth, that one sitting on my bedside table, is another book, Pure Slush, a collection of stories in which both Susan Tepper and Gay Degani were included, it was the first book in a series of twelve that were published that year. I also have a novel by Gay, What Came Before, my favorite book of hers so far. I own other books signed by their famous authors, but these mean a lot to me as they are people I consider friends and am in regular communication with on FB and otherwise. What treasures! :)

    Thanks for looking.

Yes, what Nevada said! How wonderful to start such a collection, to treasure now and will become heirlooms later.

Thanks for the love, NevadaBlades, MyFavoriteTreasures, vetraio50, brunswick, AmatoorPikr, racer4four, fortapache, mikelv85, and kyratango.

Nevada and MFT, my son doesn't like books, and my daughter reads genre, lol. It's okay, it's like collecting anything else, most of the time your family doesn't appreciate the same things you do. I love literary fiction, and I am blessed to know so many great writers. These books mean a great deal to me because they are from friends. :)
