katherines…
(247 items)
So this.
This treasure came from Australia, from our racer4four, Karen.
The first photo is the box as I opened it. The second photo is the parcel that came in the wooden Japanese box in first photo, a beautiful vase in shades and tints of purple. The third photo is the other parcel, that magnificent Kurata Karen posted here just before Christmas which is my favorite of all the Japanese glass she had posted. And the fourth photo was the little parcel that came inside that vase. A darling kanga brooch.
I wanted to share this with you all, my friends here on CW, as a tribute to her kindness, warmth, and generosity, these wondrous, beauteous things, these treasures. Thank you, Karen.
Where do i provide my mailing address? :-)
They are fabulous! And i love a little kangaroo, too! I almost missed this post because of the bubble wrap pic. What a tease! lol
Katherine and Karen. This is Awesome. Both of you are amazing collectors and expert contributors here. You are both kind and helpful to the newbies and experts. You are an impressive pair of kindred spirits here.
Amazing graceful human beings. Love this sweet post.
Hey, what's going on! Your photos are way better than mine! You must come and visit with your camera.....I've got lots to photograph.
OGF - Katherine deserves lots of kudos, always!
Ooh, great!
You both are Queens of Kindness :-))
Thanks for the love to all my friends here on CW, AnnaB, officialfuel, OneGoodFind, swfinluv1, AmatoorPikr, racer4four, NevadaBlades, mikelv85, vetraio50, kyratango, and live.eclectically. :)
AnnaB, the little kangaroo is the perfect little treasure, what a wonderful gift from a wonderfully kind and generous person. As for the tease, lol, I just wanted it to be a surprise when people opened the thread, to experience what I did when I opened the package. :)
OGF, what a touching and heartfelt thing to say, thank you so much. I am no expert, but I do try to help where I can, and I do love and appreciate what people post here. If you think about it, we all come here to share our treasures with each other, and isn't that just like when we were in kindergarten Show and Tell? We make friends and talk and learn from each other and try to help one another. It's the way the world was meant to be. :)
Karen, I put off taking the pictures as I knew I wouldn't do them the justice you do when you take your amazing photographs. I just did the best I could in order to honor your incredible gift, I hope I did, and am glad if you think so. Thank you for everything.
kyratango, you are the Queen here, what would CW be without your wonderful expertise and friendliness and humor, and all the magnificent things you share? We are so lucky, in this little community, we really are. :)
What a beautiful thing to do.

Thanks for the love, Gruff, yes it was an extraorinarily beautiful thing to do. Thank you is a little enough thing to say for such an incredibly generous gift, the kindness and thoughtfulness behind the impulse overwhelms me. I had to share it here as a tribute to Karen. :)
